Post-Doctoral position: Molecular Modeling of Protein-Solvent interactions

The Center for Computing in Engineering and Sciences (CCES) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil is seeking to fill a post-doctoral position in the area of molecular dynamics of proteins.

CCES is one of the Research, Innovation, and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and is based at the Institute of Chemistry (IQ-UNICAMP).

The project’s objectives are to understand solvent effects on processes such as folding, aggregation, ligand interactions, and catalytic activity of enzymes. Relevant works related to the project’s research line can be found at: https://m3g.github.io/ComplexMixtures.jl/stable/#References.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields. A strong experience in molecular dynamics simulations is essential.

The fellowship, worth R$ 9,047.40 per mont. Benefits include a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual scholarship value, to be spent directly on research activities.

Applications should be sent to lmartine@unicamp.br (subject: “Postdoctoral Position 2023”) until August 31, 2023, accompanied by:

• A statement of interest (one page);
• Two names and email addresses for references;
• A concise CV (3 pages) with links to Google Scholar profiles.
