Promoting the use of Open Data in research

Open research data is becoming part of the set of good scientific practices. However, specifying, creating and maintaining repositories for such data present several technical and research challenges. The talk covers some major aspects of how to promote and foster open research data culture. In particular, it discusses and presents the FAPESP – coordinated initiative to establish a network of open research data repositories in the state of São Paulo.
